Description
FIRST® LEGO® League teams tackle food safety by identifying and preventing contamination at every stage—from farm to table. In the 2011 Food Factor Challenge, participants aged 9–16 from over 55 countries will investigate how food becomes contaminated by pests, unsanitary processing, transportation, and storage. Teams will design and program an autonomous LEGO® MINDSTORMS® NXT robot to complete food safety missions, while also researching and presenting innovative solutions to combat contamination. Guided by FLL Core Values, the challenge inspires young innovators to enhance food quality and safety worldwide.
